This position is a leadership role responsible for providing direction and development to direct staff and influencing Operations and HEOR senior leadership. The position oversees the worldwide execution of HEOR strategies and financial plans. Position manages across Therapeutic Areas (e.g. immunology, oncology) to foster collaboration and optimize global execution. Within a matrix environment, the position is responsible for a broad range of activities that directly support HEOR programs and global initiatives. These activities include, but are not limited to, aspects of HEOR Portfolio, financial tracking and external budget roll-up, contracting, and scientific publication operations.

Key Responsibilities Includes:
- Accountable for oversight of external Therapeutic Area spend to ensure budget targets are met.
- Oversee financial planning cycles (LRP, Portfolio) including: (1) coordination of timelines/expectations with Finance and cross-functional partners, and (2) communication of expectations within the department.
- Provide strategic leadership and support to oversee scientific publications operations activities.
- Partner with PMO Director to drive a common culture, and for capacity planning and workload prioritization.
- Partner with Therapeutic Area Research Leads to address key needs/concerns, establish consistent expectations, and drive strategic discussions for improving the execution of day to day operations.
- Maintain strategic relationships with cross-functional partners and ensure HEOR is well-represented in 1-7-5 Integrated Planning and Brand Excellence activities.
- Identifies and secures project resources, delegates responsibilities and authority based on skill and effectiveness. Prioritize staff development and enhancements to team culture.
- Build and maintain a baseline understanding of SME and compliance requirements to support team needs as escalation is required.
- Bachelor's Degree. Focus on Science, Business, Computer Science, or relevant field preferred
- Preferred: Master's degree in Science, Business, or Project Management
- Ten years previous relevant experience. Prefer at least five to seven years' experience in organizational management in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Previous project management experience required, including management of large complex programs and cross-functional teams.
- Requires excellent relationship management and communication skills, seasoned judgment, tact, and the ability to work effectively with personnel at varying levels within the organization. Effective in driving process improvement initiatives.
- Must have extensive experience conceiving, creating, and delivering business presentations to senior management; strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills; strong organizational skills with a focus on details; demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
- Relevant experience in budget and financial management, contracts, process improvements, and/or compliance.
- Experience in standard business procedures such as program management, portfolio review, finance, and budgeting. Excellent cross-functional negotiating skills.
- Expert technology skills (e.g., MS Office software, SharePoint Skills) required.
