Job Description:

The Clinical Nurse Educator(CNE) delivers clinical educational programs to customers and accounts on Ipsen approved products, disease states regarding those products and administration education (injection training) for those products in an assigned territory.The CNE will conduct educational programs with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) involved in treating and managing appropriate patients who may benefit from ONIVYDE and/or Somatuline Depot injection. These HCPs include physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and pharmacists. The CNE will educate HCPs in academic institutions, community practices and hospital settings where patients withGEPNETS or pancreatic cancer (PDAC) are treated so that all appropriate product attributes and safety are understood to optimize clinical outcomes. This role will be a clinical resource to customer and field staff. The CNE will also be responsible for executing educational programs for patient advocacy, collaborating with marketing in the review of educational material, and developing territory plans with the Regional Business Director (RBD) and the CNE Director. This territory includes Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota , South Dakota and North Dakota

Key Role and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct educational in-services and programs using approved Ipsen resources.
  • Collaborate and partner with Regional Business Directors and Oncology Account Specialists for appropriate educational opportunities in specific accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for and engage in on-label clinical discussions.
  • Support and attend company sponsored Patient Advocacy conferences or initiatives including but not limited to PanCAN, NANETS, NCAN.
  • Participation in Oncology Nursing conferences (ONS, AONN, and/or JADPRO) at national and local level for display/booth and conference session attendance.
  • Serve as a proactive and engaged resource for healthcare professionals for product administration, and product or clinical inquiries.
  • Identify and conduct outreach to key HCPs in the institutions and oncology clinical practice sites to build and strengthen relationships and represent.
  • Communicate appropriately using approved methods (Medical Information Request Form) with internal stakeholders (e.g. medical information, drug safety) on relevant safety information or customer questions.
  • Participate in and successfully complete all assigned education/training on product information, compliance training and regulatory education relevant to role.
  • Maintain clinical and technical expertise in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Always maintain the highest level of integrity and act in accordance with company compliance/legal guidelines.
  • Complete all administrative duties in a timely manner.

Education/Experience:
  • Registered Nurse with a valid RN license in good standing required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college required
  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience required with 3 of 5 years in oncology nursing
  • Excellent teaching and presentation skills
  • Previous pharmaceutical oncology nurse educator experience strongly preferred
  • OCN or higher strongly desired
  • Up to 75% overnight travel is required
  • Enjoy working autonomously and as part of a team
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
  • Driver's license in good standing and clean driving record
