Summary. The successful candidate will contribute to the discovery and validation of new immune-oncology drug targets and will be involved in screening of therapeutic human antibodies to these targets using in vitro primary immune cells assays and preclinical mouse cancer models . Responsibilities. The successful candidate will develop/optimize primary immune cell bioassays, perform experiments utilizing in vivo mouse tumor models for discovery and development of therapeutic cancer targets, and write detailed experimental protocols. The candidate is expected to work independently in a creative, collaborative, and dynamic team environment. The candidate is expected to perform experiments, analyze data, and to present his/her research findings to interdisciplinary teams. Strong technical, analytical and time-management skills, and attention to details are required for this position . Requirements. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED - Knowledge of the basics of cellular and molecular immunology - Perform in vivo experiments utilizing tumor models in mice. Expertise with animal handling, different methods of compound administration i.v , i.p , s.c , etc , and tissue /blood collection - At least intermediate-level knowledge and practical experience with flow cytometry minimum eight fluorochromes , including cell surface staining, intracellular staining, data acquisition and analysis. Familiar with flow cytometers, such as FACSCanto and Fortessa. Experience with panel design is plus -Processing, staining and flow-cytometric analysis of mouse tumors, tissues and blood as well as human blood for immune markers -Strong knowledge of FlowJo, Excel, Prizm, PowerPoint computer programs is required . PREFERRED - Ability to develop and optimize a variety of in vitro/ex vivo immune cell-based assays, including antigen-specific T cell assays, T cell proliferation and functional assays, monocytes activation assay - Experience with measurements of cytokines levels in blood is preferred by MSD .
