Job Details
KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Research Associate II will be responsible for:
- Preparation of protein and small molecule samples for NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) analysis
- Development of biochemical/biophysical assays to measure protein:protein or protein:small molecule interactions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
- In addition to the educational requirements, a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a protein biochemistry laboratory
- Experience in preparing samples for NMR analysis
- Experience with protein biochemistry
- Ability to keep accurate records of experiments and data
- Ability to present findings at regular team meetings
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with modern protein analytical technologies including: FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography), Dynamic Light Scattering, Circular dichroism, NMR
- Have experience with measure protein:ligand interactions
- Must be highly collaborative, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
