We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and creative expert in protein engineering technologies to join Seattle Genetics' Protein Sciences group. The successful candidate will lead efforts to further understand and improve our antibody platform to produce enhanced protein based therapeutics.

  • Design and execute comprehensive experimental plans that inform and enable project progression
  • Spearhead the analyses of highly complex scientific issues, establish strategies, and suggest actionable resolutions/decisions for pre-clinical programs
  • Work independently and demonstrate the ability to contribute to projects outside their own expertise

  • Strong background in analyzing protein structure/function and skilled at protein engineering
  • A strong record of accomplishments, based on high-impact publications and patents
  • Proven creativity and problem-solving skills: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced, flexible and collaborative team environment
  • Minimum 2 years post-Ph.D. experience as either a post-doc or industrial scientist

  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline
