Regional Director, Field Access - Inflammation

Summary . The Regional Director, Field Access-Inflammation, will be responsible for hiring, managing, leading, and retaining the Field Access Specialist team. This team is responsible for compliantly removing reimbursement barriers for HCPs and ensuring optimal access to Regeneron products KEVZARA for patients. The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring the achievement of appropriate access performance metrics to include pull-through objectives. The RD will work closely with respective counterparts at Sanofi to ensure full cooperation and transparency within the collaboration. The RD will accomplish all responsibilities in a compliant manner with a high degree of integrity and ethics as required by Regeneron . The RD, Field Access - Inflammation, reports directly to the National Director, Field Access & Reimbursement and will be based remotely with travel to Sleepy Hollow NY, Cambridge MA and across the US required . Responsibilities . Recruit, lead, coach, and retain a team of 12 Field Access Specialists across the US . In conjunction with commercial leadership, define and implement the strategic commercial plan to execute appropriate field activities that significantly improve access & reimbursement for KEVZARA . Build and develop a best in class Field Access Team and provide direct leadership to the Field Access Specialists . Leadership point of contact and active participant on KEVZARA Brand Core Teams for both REGN and Sanofi to bring forward key field and customer insights with access & reimbursement . Leadership liaison with the Patient and Provider Access Services Team . Trade . Specialty Pharmacy Strategy . Payer Team . across the Alliance . Ensure coordination and collaboration with all resources within the combined Regeneron/Sanofi field teams to support commercial success e.g. Industry Related Congresses, Medical Conferences, Office Manager Speaker Programs etc . Build the Company's credibility and relationships with key customers e.g. National, Regional, Local Access & Reimbursement leaders, Specialty Pharmacies, advocacy groups etc. and their staffs . Ensures the Field Access Specialists are viewed by their customers as subject matter experts in Access & Reimbursement and pertinent clinical expertise . Strong understanding of Payer environment, reimbursement and challenges within National & Regional payer markets including . government programs, managed health care and evolving health care systems . Work with the Sales and Reimbursement leadership teams within Regeneron and as appropriate with Sanofi counterparts to lead the implementation of National strategy for provider access with KEVZARA . Develop and Execute Strategic Field tactical plan for execution of all existing and new product access & reimbursement initiatives . Establish measurable performance metrics and monitor achievement of these agreed parameters. Partner with HQ in developing Incentive Compensation schemes for the Field Access Specialist team that ladder up to the Market Access Business Unit strategic objectives . Monitor Field Force sizing, and anticipate market events that may require adjustments to deployment . Requirements . BS/BA required . advanced degree a plus . Experienced Business/Sales/Reimbursement leader 10+ years overall pharma/biopharma experience. A minimum of 5 years leadership of a field based access or account team . A track record of accomplishment and experience in building customer facing field teams and launching new products . Experience in the Inflammation therapeutic area Rheumatology highly desirable but will consider other relevant biologics area in other relevant markets such as MS, Psoriasis, Oncology, etc . Experience in commercializing a biologic product requiring subcutaneous patient self-injection . Strong collaboration skills and experience working in a partnership environment . Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills . should be an effective team player who can engender credibility and confidence within the company, with customers, and with strategic alliance partner. Able to articulate the Strategic Imperatives and translate / implement to the Field Access Team. Comfortable working in a science/patient focused culture and working with scientific leaders .
