Summary . The Senior Director, Field Access & Reimbursement - EYLEA is responsible for leading, hiring, developing and retaining the Reimbursement Business Manager RBM team including 3 Regional Directors and 26 RBMs. This team is responsible for compliantly removing reimbursement barriers for HCPs and ensuring optimal access EYLEA for patients. The SD, through the Regional Directors is responsible for ensuring the achievement of appropriate access & reimbursement performance metrics to include pull-through objectives. The SD will work closely with sales & marketing leaders. The SD will accomplish all responsibilities in a compliant manner with a high degree of integrity and ethics as required by Regeneron . The SD, Field Access & Reimbursement EYLEA reports directly to the National Director, Field Access & Reimbursement and will be based remotely with travel to Sleepy Hollow NY and across the US required . Responsibilities . In conjunction with commercial leadership define and implement the strategic commercial plan to execute appropriate field activities that significantly improve access & reimbursement for EYLEA . Build and develop a best in class Field Access & Reimbursement team and provide overall leadership to the team and direct leadership to the Regional Directors . Leadership point of contact and active participant on EYLEA Brand Core Team to bring forward key field and customer insights with access & reimbursement . Leadership liaison with the Patient and Provider Access Services Team EYLEA4U . Trade . and Payer Team . Ensure coordination and collaboration of Resources with Regeneron field teams to support commercial success e.g. Industry Related Congresses, Medical Conferences, Office Manager Speaker Programs etc . Build the Company's credibility and relationships with key customers e.g. National, Regional, Local Access & Reimbursement leaders, advocacy groups etc. and their staffs . Ensures the Regional Directors and RBMs are viewed by their customers as subject matter experts in Access & Reimbursement and clinical expertise . Strong understanding of Payer environment, reimbursement and challenges within National payer markets including . Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services & Government programs, managed health care and evolving health care systems . Work with the Sales and Reimbursement leadership teams within REGN to lead National strategy for provider access with EYLEA . Develop and execute Strategic Field tactical plans for execution of all existing and new reimbursement initiatives . Establish measurable performance metrics and monitor achievement of these agreed parameters Partner with HQ in developing Incentive Compensation schemes for the RBM team that ladder up to the Market Access Business Unit strategic objectives . Monitor field force sizing, and anticipate market events that may require adjustments to deployment . Requirements . BS/BA required . advanced degree a plus . Experienced Business/Sales/Reimbursement leader 15+ years overall pharma/biopharma experience. A minimum of 7 years leadership that includes the managing of managers . A track record of accomplishment and experience in building & leading customer facing field teams and launching new products . Experience in the Ophthalmology therapeutic area . Experience in commercializing a "buy & bill" biologic product . Strong collaboration skills and experience working in a partnership environment . Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills . should be an effective team player who can engender credibility and confidence within the company, with customers, and with strategic alliance partner. Able to articulate the Strategic Imperatives and translate / implement to the RBM Team. Comfortable working in a science/patient focused culture and working with scientific leaders .
