About the role:
- Lead the development of high-visibility scientific publications for early clinical-stage oncology programs (congress presentations and manuscripts)
- Collaborate with bluebird scientists and alliance partners on publications for late clinical-stage and development-stage oncology programs
- Work closely with alliance partners to align scientific communications activities and materials for late-clinical stage oncology programs
- Lead oncology Medical insights generation for oncology, including organizing and developing content for scientific advisory boards and managing KOL interactions
- Develop and deliver core medical training material for internal education and training
- Develop bluebird-specific medical information content; coordinate medical information operations with alliance partners for consistency and efficiency
- Develop educational content for medical congresses
- Lead oncology medical congress strategy for bluebird
- Ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines, laws, and industry standard best practices
About you:
- Doctoral degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) in biological sciences and at least 5 years of experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical environment required
- Experience in Medical Affairs required, either "in-house" or at a communications or consulting agency
- Experience in oncology required; experience in hematologic malignancy preferred, with direct experience in myeloma or CAR T immunotherapy a strong plus
- Medical communications and publications planning experience essential
- Ability to write/edit scientific articles, posters and abstracts with a medically strategic mindset
- Excellent communications and project management skills; demonstrated ability to synthesize and communicate data effectively
- Independently motivated, detail oriented and good problem-solving ability
- Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities
