Identity And Access Management (IAM) Engineer

This role will have hands-on architectural and engineering responsibilities as well and expert level troubleshooting duties in support of Identity management technologies. Assist in the execution of the strategy, future direction, and product roadmap delivery for Abbvie's IAM technology solutions while working on cross-functional projects and teams to deliver Identity management services for the business.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Identity management systems and be familiar with the entire lifecycle (joiner, mover, leavers) of access management for internal and external users across various platforms, databases, privileged access, and cloud.

  • Defines plans and implement secure and automated enterprise-wide Identity Management solutions to meet business requirements. Successfully negotiates technical design and deployment strategy with clients and application owners.
  • Drive successful delivery and implementation of key enterprise initiatives related to Identity management services.
  • Serves as the cross-platform technical subject matter expert and provides consulting support to enterprise on integration of applications and data into Identity management system. Defines and documents engineering documentation "Best Practices" and workflow to enhance processes and procedures.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting, participate in on-call rotation, and develop solutions and processes to eliminate incidents
  • Coordinate and contribute the responses to internal and external audit inquiries. Provide technical leadership and direction to organizational, technical and process improvements as the result of audit recommendations and findings
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, other related field required. MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering preferred. Telecommunications. Certifications: CISSP, CCNP, MCSE, CCIE.
  • 5+ years IT experience with Fortune 500; 5000+ nodes.
  • 3+ years' experience with Enterprise Identity Management technologies, engineering is a must.
  • Demonstrated mastery of the concepts and theory of infrastructure. Demonstrated knowledge across data network disciplines, computing platforms, network-based technologies, and applications.
  • Must have hands-on experience developing and deploying large-scale enterprise Identity & Access Management solutions such as Oracle Identity Management, Microsoft Forefront IDM, Dell Identity, or SailPoint
  • Good understanding of protocols and systems like LDAP and UNIX, Linux and systems like Active Directory, CyberArk, etc.
  • Experience in Integrating platforms and applications with Identity management system with carious connectors such as RESTful web services
  • Proficiency in one or more of JavaScript, Java, Python, Go, C, C++
  • Knowledge of a scripting language in system automation. Must have solid understanding of information technology and information security
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases, database schemas and data structures
  • Solid understanding of High Availability, Systems Design, Architecture, Cloud Technologies, Databases, Open Source and Web technologies.
  • Be able to advise and present to senior management technology related issues and trends.
  • Interact with key business IT and stakeholders to proactively identify business problems and opportunities that can be addressed with technology solutions
  • Demonstrates a strong customer-centric approach, an empathy for global cultural differences, and excellent communications skills
