We are seeking a scientist to join the Selection Technologies and Protein Engineering group at our new state-of-the-art facility in Cambridge, MA. You will be responsible for using library-based protein engineering techniques to solve drug discovery challenges across therapeutic areas, and evaluating and implementing new technologies.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute experiments to discover protein therapeutics by immunization and/or by in vitro selection using random libraries
  • Carry out a wide variety of molecular biology and protein-based techniques to achieve project goals
  • Analyze and interpret data to correlate protein sequence, structure and function
  • Contribute to protein engineering strategies for drug discovery around a therapeutic target or pathway
  • Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, communicate results both written and verbally with matrixed working groups


Ph.D. in molecular biology, biotechnology, protein engineering or a related discipline with up to 5 years of additional relevant experience in academia or industry

Familiarity with library-based protein engineering methods such as phage display, mammalian display, yeast display or related methods is beneficial, and additional experience in any of the following areas would be desirable:
  • Single cell genomics using microfluidics or droplet-based methods for antibody discovery, fluorescent assays or in vitro selection
  • Analysis of display libraries or immune repertoires by next generation sequencing
  • Experience with analysis of protein structure
  • Experience working with complex or multi-specific biomolecules

Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with colleagues from different disciplines, and a history of successful collaborations. A proven track record of publication in peer-reviewed journals.
