The C&A Purchasing Department is responsible for the following activities in support of the Frederick National Laboratory: acquisition of goods and services, equipment maintenance and repair, fleet service and training for program areas in the use of ERP systems.


Senior Purchasing Administrator duties:
  • Responsible for internal purchase requisition workflow in CostPoint and Hyland OnBase.
  • Reviews purchase requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policy and procedures
  • Contacts requestors to clarify specifications and resolve problems
  • Responsible for review and upload of various shared documents for Acquisitions Directorate in SharePoint and OnBase.
  • Select vendors for procurement of internal office supplies, solicits verbal quotations and, when necessary, written quotations for these items.
  • Contact vendors to place purchase orders; negotiates prices, terms, and delivery of specified items
  • Direct Back-up for Wireless Administrator to include procurement of devices and services both domestic and internationally.
  • Assist as required with P-Card Program in Deltek and Corcentric to include cardholder reconciliations, assisting Accounts Payable on delinquencies in Program.
  • Audit transactions for both P-Card and Blanket Program
  • Coordinate delivery and invoicing issues with Receiving and Accounts Payable personnel to resolve discrepancies
  • Edit documents in Adobe to include Contract Officer Authorization Requests, Advanced Notifications, Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders

  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in a related field (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education).
  • Two (2) years related experience
  • Knowledge of procurement processes
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
  • Experience with or in support of a government contracting office
  • Experience with Adobe, Deltek Costpoint, Hyland OnBase, SharePoint; Corcentric
