We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to assist in the development of cancer immunotherapies in our Cancer Immunobiology Department at the Lilly New York City site. Do you have a basic knowledge of immunology with prior academic and/or industry experience? We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and be part of a growing team. You will provide support for the discovery and development of novel immunotherapeutic molecules. Do you have an understanding of Immunology, want to work independently while also contributing to our team efforts? Some key responsibilities in this role are:
  • conduct routine and non-routine analysis of various cancer therapeutics in biological/immunological assays that include flow cytometry, ELISA, and in vitro immune cell-based bioassays
  • isolation and preparation of PBMC, T cells, and myeloid cells from human blood
  • culture, expansion, and phenotype of primary human immune cells
  • handle primary cells derived from human and/or mouse blood and tumor cell lines
  • support in vivo animal work (tumor and immune tissue collection)
  • perform data analysis, maintain detailed and organized laboratory notebook
  • provide written and oral communication of work (write study reports, SOPs)
  • good computer skills (proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Basic Qualifications
  • BSc or MSc degree in Immunology or related field
