We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar- Scientist. He/She will be involved in metabolic studies related to mitochondrial function in cultured neurons and in primary neurons from apoE-expressing transgenic mice with a focus on Alzheimer's disease. The research will also include studies using CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing to explore proteomic leads derived from apoE4- versus apoE3- expressing neurons.
M.D. or Ph.D with training in the neurosciences. Experience in metabolism and mitochondrial function is highly desirable. Ability to conduct studies in an independent environment. Abilty to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (manuscript preparation). At least three years of research experience following graduate degree.
