Responsibilities
The Design Hub is a newly formed cross-functional group within Lilly to optimize clinical trial studies and programs. The Design Hub is looking for statisticians who have experience in clinical trials in multiple phases of development, with cross-functional knowledge, excellent communication skills, a commitment to teamwork, and therapeutic expertise in Diabetes, Autoimmune, Oncology and/or Neuroscience. As a Design Hub statistician, you will partner with Physicians, Clinical Research Scientists, PK/PD scientists, and operations groups to design clinical trials, incorporating knowledge of new clinical trial designs, statistical methodologies, and consideration of operational and budget needs and limitations. 44798BR

Basic Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics
  • At least one manuscript submitted or published in a peer-reviewed journal
  • At least one oral presentation at a statistical conference


Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Proficiency in statistical programming knowledge language/software such as R, SAS
  • Proficiency in trial design software such as nQuery, EAST, FACTS, trial design specific R packages
  • Excellent statistical knowledge and the commitment to keep up to date with current developments in statistics, both as it applies to new methodologies and trial designs and also new statistical trends in Regulatory agencies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to develop therapeutic area knowledge in order to maximize impact in trial design
  • Knowledge of Bayesian statistics including application in trial design, modeling, simulation, computational work, and communicating results to both statisticians and non-statisticians
  • Knowledge of adaptive designs and other novel study designs with application to clinical trials
