The Associate Director of Supplier Quality is accountable for the design, implementation, and/or maintenance of assigned network based processes to ensure robust streamlined operating practices throughout the Quality Key Brands Manufacturing Quality (KBMQ) network. This leadership role requires the candidate to manage multiple stakeholders and view points in a matrix environment to ensure alignment with initiatives, while driving continuous improvement and advancing an enterprise mindset within KBMQ. The focus of this role will lead Supplier Quality programs and driving initiatives.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide quality leadership for network projects to achieve streamlined and harmonized processes aligned with BMS and global health authority requirements and expectations.
  • Develop and implement a Supplier Management and Quality program working with procurement, MST, and supply chain to enable robust supplier management and streamlined oversight processes.
  • Deliver on strategic initiatives in network raw material and component programs to ensure timely and efficient implementation including material certification and testing
  • Implement network Quality Operations programs (short term and long term), including key business processes to simplify and streamline ways of working across pharmaceutical and biologics operations.
  • Working with the site quality and compliance teams, develop network solutions to global Quality issues in priority areas

Professional experience and qualifications
  • Degree in life sciences, and advanced degree in related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Biopharmaceutical experience in both biologics and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships, and work across divisions, diverse business backgrounds and cultures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated capability to achieve success when working and leading virtual teams in a matrix organization by building strong collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience leading through influence and working in cross functional teams to investigate and manage quality and compliance related issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and have appropriate judgement to make or facilitate decisions
  • Strong project management and execution skills, and is able to manage multiple projects and prioritize as needed. Ability to plan and conduct projects within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Has a proven track record of delivering results and is action oriented.
