The Advisor - Biometrics Automation - is accountable to provide strategic and operational leadership across key initiatives to drive realization of biometrics and related clinical development automation goals. Responsibilities include: 1. Leadership of automation intiatives; 2. Development and implementation of automation strategy; 3. Influence and translation of external trends, methods, and regulations related to clinical data automation; 4. Participation in and influence on key external collaborations; 5. Proactive Team Lilly collaboration

Lead automation initiatives
  • Lead and deliver key automation initiatives; ensure value realization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to ensure alignment
  • Develop understanding of related initiatives; ensure alignment, leverage synergy
  • Work with biometrics and CDO leaders to ensure appropriate capacity and capability exist both to deliver the initiative and to ensure successful adoption and scale
  • Partner with MDIT to select and manage partners and third party providers
Develop and implement automation strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to develop automation strategies
  • Work with biometrics and CDO colleagues to understanding computation computing needs
  • Proactively identify process and capability gaps and opportunities
  • Translate strategies to implementation of key initiatives
  • Develop business cases to support priority investment in priority capabilities
  • Collaborate in the development of clinical automation roadmap
Influence and translate external trends, methods, and regulations related to clinical data automation
  • Engage and influence key external forums
  • Understand, influence, and translate relevant methods and regulations
  • Advise and drive the transformation of current state clinical computing and automation to meet future state expectations for on-demand information
Participate in and influence relevant external collaborations
  • Engage in and influence select external industry and 3rd party collaborations
  • Ensure value realization for Lilly
Proactively collaborate: Team Lilly
  • Proactively engage and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues in the best interest of Eli Lilly and Company

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field
  • Industry experience working with automated technologies (ie: artificial intelligence, semantics, robotic process automation.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in clinical drug development
  • Minimum 8 years experience in solution delivery (e.g. technologies, processes, standards) impacting multiple functions (e.g. statistics, information technology, PK/PD, health outcomes, data sciences, quality, etc.)
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Demonstrated track record of successful design and execution of complex initiatives, particularly process and technology changes
  • Demonstrated establish credibility with and influence peers, cross-functional leaders, and executive management
  • Advanced degree (Masters, Doctorate) in a science-related field
  • Knowledge of and experience with clinical computing, clinical data sciences, scientific communications, and/or drug development information technology
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and lead cross-functional change
  • Proven ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and make risk-based decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across boundaries and achieve results with internal and external partners
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and deal with complexity
  • Some travel required
