Manager, Corporate Communications is responsible for developing and executing global communications strategies and programs that will enhance and protect AbbVie's reputation.

Key Responsibilities Includes:

• Write, edit and proofread materials ensuring quality and consistency with appropriate writing styles

• Manage review process for materials (press releases, newsletters, articles, statements, response documents, fact sheets, etc.).

• Concept, develop, and execute best in-class ideas

• Identify and work with media; demonstrate network of traditional and online media contacts

• Possess a thorough understanding/awareness of leading/emerging PR tactics and techniques to maximize impact.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (emphasis in communications, marketing, business, public relations or journalism preferred).

• 5-7 years' experience in a high-level business or communications environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working in the healthcare sector

• National media relations experience

• Track record of developing and executing communications campaigns that meet objectives

• Ability to derive clarity out of ambiguous situations

• Previous agency experience in communications campaigns

• An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort forging internal alliances across geographies
