Associate Director/Sr. Scientist, Structural Biology
REVOLUTION Medicines discovers and develops new drugs that translate frontier cancer targets through exceptional drug discovery delivering revolutionary medicines on behalf of cancer patients. As a new member of the RevMed team, you will join other outstanding scientists who are helping lead our efforts in the discovery and development of new medicines for unmet needs in cancer.
• As a key scientific leader within our Discovery Technologies department you will:
o Lead our Structural Biology team to enable structure-based drug design through optimization of
crystallization constructs and conditions, and solution of X-ray structures.
o Leverage leading technologies to optimize crystallization throughput, including fragment crystal screens.o Design novel constructs (e.g. mutants, truncations) and access alternative measurement modalities (e.g.
NMR, RT crystallography) to support structure/function exploration of protein targets.
o Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to enable structure guided drug design.
o Be part of our New Projects team, providing expert structural analysis and ligandability assessments for
frontier cancer targets.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Ph.D. degree in Structural Biology, Biophysics, or related field.
8+ years of small molecule drug discovery experience with a strong track record of scientific leadership and
Expertise in protein and protein-ligand complex crystallization, x-ray data collection and refinement.
Experience in imaging technologies and preparation of protein ligand complexes and their characterizations.
Understanding of structure-based drug discovery to advance therapeutic programs with a proven track record of
collaboration with medicinal and computational chemists.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with interdepartmental teams.
