PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc.'s Financial Operations Directorate oversees all financial planning and management activities for the Frederick National Lab for Cancer Research (FNLCR), sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). We currently seek a Financial Analyst III to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team at our Frederick, MD location.

KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst III to be a part of our Financial Planning and Analysis team at our Frederick, MD location.

The Financial Analyst III:
  • Will be responsible for financial project reporting and direct contact and financial support to both Directorate and Division customer contacts; to include budget development, financial planning and analysis of project budgets, costs tracking and meets available funding.
  • Will regularly monitor funding, costs and schedule, and out year planning and cost tracking analysis as applicable, along with cost allocations.
  • Will provide scheduled and Adhoc reporting and forecasting against budgets, funding and ceilings, and preparation of cost estimates, and development of price structures, along with project set up, and oversight of the financial close out of projects, while applying cost accounting principles

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or related field from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency
  • In addition to the education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in financial project planning and analysis
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations and various contract types, indirect cost pools, forward pricing, Deltek financial software, Microsoft Office suite
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Excel utilizing spreadsheets, databases, and financial planning tools
  • Knowledge of general accounting, financial management and project control concepts
  • Prior experience providing support to multiple programs and process multiple tasks with a proven ability to collect and analyze information
