Summary Description

The FP&A Manager will play an integral role in the company's Finance organization. We’re looking for a data-driven professional with fantastic analytical skills to lead the consolidation of the company's financials across the business. This role will be the Finance lead for our TM1 forecasting system with the goal of structuring our financial data to enable visual financial dashboards for executives across the business. This individual will also lead communication and process for the company wide rolling forecast, including the forecast calendar, finance templates and kick-off meetings. Monthly, this role will own the consolidated variance to forecast reporting packages, working closely across the FP&A and Accounting teams to provide insightful analysis on drivers of change. Finally, the FP&A manager will serve as a business partner to the G&A functions within the company, responsible for forecasting with the leaders across those functions. 

Initially, the position will be responsible for implementation of a new TM1 financial system as we transition from our existing platform. This role will lead the external project team and serve as the Finance lead for development of a best in class FP&A forecasting tool. Upon completion of the project, this role will be responsible for on-going development of forecasting templates and visual tools to drive continuous improvement and ease of the forecast process. 

The ideal candidate for this role must have the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Sharp analytical skills, attention to detail, determined work ethic, and willingness to roll up your sleeves are required to be successful. Strong initiative and follow through are essential for this critical role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with FP&A and Accounting team to design and build reporting tools, templates and financial models in TM1 or other data visualization system
  • Evaluate new reporting tools that can help to automate standard reporting packages
  • Making recommendations to streamline workflows and processes within organization
  • Work closely with the Director of Finance to perform monthly/quarterly consolidations and variance analyses
  • Development, management and communication of ongoing planning calendar
  • Support analytics during the preparation of CEO, board, and investor level presentations
  • Assist with special projects as needed, providing financial assessments and guidance for strategic projects and business cases
  • Core Competencies, Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and demonstrate a passion for data and processes
  • Experience designing and working with TM1 preferred but not required
  • Must have excellent technical leadership and project management skills, including project resource estimation and tracking
  • Ability to communicate technical or complex issues with clarity to non-financial individuals
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to successfully meet tight deadlines
  • Must be proactive and possess the ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt and work in a quickly changing environment, managing competing demands
  • Strong contributor in a team environment, with the ability to balance team and individual viewpoints and responsibilities
  • Comfortable managing and reviewing large data sets to identify trends and issues
  • Used to agile, fast paced, dynamic project environments
  • Experience within Biotech preferred but not required
