We seek an entrepreneurial and highly motivated supply chain leader with broad clinical and commercial supply planning expertise to help build and grow our supply planning processes and capabilities. This position will have responsibility for leading the development and implementation of our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and will drive bluebird's long-range supply strategy in collaboration with various cross-functional business partners. This role will closely partner with Senior Leadership from Finance, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Manufacturing, Program Management and External Partners and Suppliers.

About the role:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish, align and maintain long range strategic assumptions and corresponding supply strategies that include product lifecycle management, regulatory requirements, and supply network transitions
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Program Management, Finance and others to align on assumptions and plans that impact demand and supply
  • Manage and lead monthly S&OP process and meetings to routinely review clinical and commercial demands, alignment with manufacturing capacity, and resulting financials to give a full view of the operational plan and support management decision making
  • Provide S&OP business process guidance to cross functional stakeholders
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Finance and others to align on assumptions and plans that impact demand and supply
  • Consolidate and critically review global clinical and commercial demand plans and forecasts in close collaboration with Clinical Operations, Finance, Program Management, and Commercial teams
  • Establish and maintain Rough Cut Capacity Plans across the global supply network to support long range strategic supply plans
  • Define, implement and analyze key performance metrics and trends to drive supply performance understanding and improvements
  • Lead and support the analyses of capacity, scenarios, supply chain and manufacturing strategies
  • Objectively evaluate options/trade-offs and develop executive management-level recommendations
  • Interface with all levels of organization, and deliver presentations and make recommendations to senior and executive management
  • Potential to build and manage team as needed to accommodate company growth
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)
  • 10 or more years in a related supply chain/planning/manufacturing role
  • Prior employment at a biotech or pharmaceutical company in similar role
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification preferred
  • Experience in overall supply planning / strategic planning with a focus towards Integrated Business Planning and/or S&OP
  • Expertise in use of MS Excel, as well as demonstrated proficiencies in Project, Visio, ERP (Oracle) systems and other applications
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
