The Marketing Manager I/II, on the Synthroid Professional Marketing Team, supports the development of commercial plans to optimize performance of the brand. The Marketing Manager will work closely with multiple commercial operations teams to ensure successful strategy implementation, creative and execution plans, product support, and professional marketing execution.

Internally, the Marketing Manager will foster positive working relationships with other marketing functions, sales force, medical affairs, medical review, market research, sales training, regulatory review, business analytics, customer experience, paid media, and other cross-franchise teams.

Externally, the Marketing Manager works with various ad agencies, consultants, and physicians to successfully drive the business. The Marketing Manager must demonstrate the ability to lead without authority, while building a collaborative, integrated commercial brand team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Contribute to the development of the Professional strategic plan leveraging both internal and external business understanding and insight
  • Lead development and execution of the Professional tactics to drive brand and disease awareness through a variety of channels including; NPP CRM, in-office, website, digital communications
  • Lead the creative development process continuously implementing best practices with ability to understand the key drivers that influence the design of materials
  • Lead the development and management of assigned digital programs to optimize the Professional experience across all touch points
  • Lead development of relevant components of media plans, then evaluate and optimize by tracking performance and identifying implications of all media types
  • Decipher and extract insights and prioritize for application toward Professional stakeholders
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate
  • Think innovatively regarding the application of new technologies to marketing, particularly within a regulated environment
  • Direct and motivate agency staff to develop impactful tactics
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret financial components of brand management, including profit and loss statements, and return on investment
  • Apply basic accounting, financial principles and tracking principles to manage a budget
  • Develop agency SOW's to support tactical plan development and execution
  • Influence others through clear communication, expertise, trust, commitment, and follow-through
  • Manage internal/external networks, and agency partners
  • Negotiate and interact with diverse roles (and personality types), and especially MRL, IBT and sales force

Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 - 7+ years brand marketing, promotion and/or agency experience required
  • NPP CRM, digital communications and media experience preferred
  • Apply marketing concepts in the development of marketing plans and programs including brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, market research, marketing objectives/strategies, segmentation, etc.
  • A balance of analytical capability and creative vision
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with all levels in a matrix organization
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally
  • Strong planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and follow-through
  • Demonstrated track record of high performance as evidenced by awards or other recognition and accomplishments

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • Multiple brands experience
  • 2 years of managerial and leadership experience
