Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Associate to join the Bispecific Antibodies Group. The position will support early stage development of bispecific antibodies and novel therapeutic molecules. The successful candidate will be responsible for cloning and expression of novel protein constructs, and functional analysis of therapeutic proteins in cell-based assays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cultures of mammalian cell lines and primary cells (human PBMC).

• Generate protein expression constructs, prepare plasmid DNA, and perform DNA sequence analysis.

• Perform transient transfection in mammalian cells. Analyze protein expression using Western blotting.

• Generate stable cell lines via lentiviral transduction.

• Perform immunoassays including ELISA, MSD, etc.

• Conduct functional analysis of therapeutic proteins using in vitro cell-based assays, e.g. FACS binding, luciferase reporter assay, and cytotoxicity assay.

• Perform data analysis (Excel, Prism, FlowJo, MacVector, Sequencher), and provide regular updates to manager. Present data at group meetings.

• Maintain timely and accurate records in ELN.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 2 plus years of relevant laboratory experience is required. Background in molecular biology, cell biology and immunology is preferred or 0-2 years of laboratory experience with a Master's degree

• Expertise in sterile culture techniques for mammalian cells.
• Experience in molecular cloning.

• Experience in mammalian cell transient transfection, lentiviral transduction, and Western blotting.

• Experience in cell-based functional assays, such as luciferase reporter assay and cytotoxicity assay.

• Experience in multicolor flow cytometery (FACS) is desirable.

• Proficiency in software for data analysis (Excel, Prism, FlowJo) and data reporting/presentation (PowerPoint).

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills.
