Project Description: In DS/FDS unit operation failure modes and effects analyses (PFMEAs) many line items contain failure effects that were determined using scientific principles and/or tacit knowledge based on experience with other programs. This project will be to document the scientific rationale used for determining failure effects and linking previously completed studies and literature where necessary. Scope of project includes cell culture, chromatography, virus filtration and UF/DF unit operations.
Desired Majors and/or Skills:
- Chemical Engineering or related major. Requires understanding of core concepts of reaction kinetics and thermodynamics; requires understanding of chromatography; ideal candidate will be able to work independently.

Desired Education Level:
- Rising Senior or M.S. / M. Engineering.
