Information Technology is critical to the enablement of AbbVie's Supply Chain and the ability to deliver life changing medication to patients and healthcare providers. The Regional Supply Chain BTS Manager must ensure that such critical BTS capabilities are consistently and effectively functioning. Furthermore, this position must work to differentiate AbbVie by identifying and overseeing the implementation of innovative Supply Chain BTS centric solutions that create value for patients and healthcare providers.

The Regional Supply Chain BTS Manager position will be responsible for several dimensions of management across the region: BTS performance of third party logistics partners and contract manufacturers, relationships with AbbVie commercial affiliates, project management, business case development and oversight of regional BTS projects, and the identification and coordination of demand for other BTS services.

This position is expected to work with minimal oversight and has significant impact on the performance and perception of the Supply Chain BTS organization in the region. This position reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain BTS.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Measure and manage BTS performance of third party logistics providers and contract manufacturers.
  • Maintain relationships with Regional Supply Chain and AbbVie Commercial BTS colleagues. Establish periodic meeting cadence with the Distribution, Freight Manager and the Regional Finance Manager.
  • Effectively communicate Supply Chain capabilities and performance to regional stakeholders.
  • Provide support in developing KPI Dashboards for Supply Chain Business performance.
  • Explore Emerging Technologies to improve Supply Chain Business bottom line. Develop Business Cases to justify investment in cutting edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain, etc.
  • Understand regional business strategies and collaborate with Global Supply Chain BTS leadership to define and prioritize new BTS services and capabilities.
  • Establish a time table for 3PL Warehouse Data Security Assessments and execute as per plan.
  • Identify, prioritize, and coordinate implementation of Supply Chain BTS enabled process improvements.
  • Formulate ideas and opportunities into well-defined BTS business cases and projects.
  • Manage the portfolio of Supply Chain BTS projects in the region.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Supply Chain BTS issues across the region.
  • Improve SAP Operational Support Levels by managing the regional relationships with the App COE.
  • Coordinate resolution of Supply Chain BTS related issues and drive preventative action plans.
  • Identify and address training needs for the region.
  • Proactively monitor and manage performance of Supply Chain BTS shared services.
  • Monitor and manage business partner satisfaction and drive action plans to improve as applicable.
  • Report Supply Chain BTS performance to Regional and Local leadership.
  • Support on/off boarding activities in the 3PL Warehouse (Maintain on/off boarding procedure).

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 to 12 years of relevant work experience including relationship management, vendor management, project management, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to travel within the region.

Skills/Experience Requirements
  • Ability to work cross functionality to achieve performance improvement objectives.
  • Ability to build relationships with Business and BTS executives.
  • Experience planning and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Track record of driving deliverables to conclusion and managing issues within a team.
  • Hands-on experience with project and portfolio management.
  • Strong understanding of the disciplines necessary to run an BTS organization.
  • Well verse in reporting tools such as Qlik Sense, Cognos, Qlik View, etc.
  • Broad awareness of the BTS industry and capabilities.
