Full time
DMPK-BA is seeking a highly motivated master's degree level scientist to join the protein quantitation and in vitro pharmacology group at Lake County.

This person will take a lead role in working out the sample preparation science for surrogate peptide LCMS quantitation from biological matrices including, but not limited to, tumor extracts and plasma samples from in vivo studies.

By modeling the sample preparation science after industry leading publications, this work will maximize the potential of our array of world-class LCMS instruments for surrogate peptide quantitation in a variety of drug discovery and development contexts.

As a result, we will realize lower limits of quantitation against large molecule therapeutics and endogenous protein targets while maintaining the unique value of mass spectrometry for protein quantitation as compared to antibody based measurements.

Skills/Traits Necessary:

  • Ambitious
  • Resilient
  • Self-starter
  • Motivated
  • Open-minded
  • Teachable/eager and willing to learn

  • MS or equivalent education with typically 5 or more years of experience required
  • Experience in LCMS quantitation, including HRMS and QQQ and associated data interpretation
  • Protein quantitation by surrogate peptide analysis
  • nanoLC, microLC, high flow UPLC

Highly Preferred:

  • Analytical scientist cross-trained in biology
