The candidate will work closely with the facilities team to support all shipping, receiving, and warehousing activities; will be the first point of contact for all aspects (Excluding ordering) of office, and lab supply replenishments. Support other functions associated to shipping and receiving: Assist in daily office operations, maintaining office records, and providing general support services. Additionally, under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, will work with outside departments requiring support from Shipping & Receiving.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Receive, unpack, verify and record all incoming materials, supplies, customer orders and equipment.
  • Review incoming documents and mark pertinent information to support system receipt.
  • Perform system entry receipt and follow proper distribution.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute shipping documentation to support shipments.
  • Comply with all international and hazardous shipping regulations.
  • Maintain inventory levels for office, and lab supplies.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurately process data related to orders
  • Perform picking and shipping confirmation
  • Deliver interoffice mail
  • Pull and pack orders for shipments
  • Process daily orders through company systems
  • Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) procedures to ensure all faulty/rejected materials are not inadvertently distributed
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure mix-ups, damages, and deterioration does not occur materials during any stages of handling
  • Comply with all company regulations
  • Inventory Control
  • Ship via FedEx Air/Ground

Minimum Education

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent, GED or equivalent
  • 1-2 yrs higher education a plus
  • Basic hazardous materials training desirable
  • Previous experience helpful
  • Good communication and organizational skills helpful

Minimum Experience / Training Required
  • Knowledge of business concepts, procedure and practices
  • General understanding of departmental fundamentals.
  • Experience performs routine and non-routine assignments using standard methods and sequences.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination working in a regulated environment.
