We are seeking a creative and self-motivated Scientist to join the Neurosciences group to support the development of technologies for therapeutics in neurodegenerative diseases or other CNS disorders. The individual should have a solid background in intracellular trafficking and neurodegenerative diseases as well as experience with antisense oligonucleotides, siRNA and/or CRISPR technologies.

This Scientist will be responsible for designing and executing cell based assays and in vivo behavioral assays to support the characterization of the mode of action and efficacy of novel molecules for CNS applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required as this candidate will be expected to work productively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Managerial experience is required.


This position requires a minimum of a PhD, and 2-6 years of relevant experience. Additional requirements include:

• Excellent publication record is highly desirable

• Ability to both work independently

• Managerial experience is required

• Experience working with animal models of neurodegenerative and/or neuromuscular disorders

• Broad knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, histology, aseptic cell culturing and in vitro assay development

• Experience with in vitro cell binding and uptake assays, intracellular trafficking and RNA biology

• Primary culture of neural cells

• Experience with differentiation of ES or hIPCs highly desirable

• Experience with antisense oligonucleotides, siRNA and/or CRISPR technologies highly preferable
Level will be commensurate with experience

This position will require the individual to pass a physical before beginning employment.
