Reporting to the Head of Immunology Strategic Operations GMCO, this role will help to define AbbVie Immunology portfolio maximization in the dynamic market of Immunology, developing strategic frameworks to tackle the dual challenge of Humira LOE and the launch of new Immunology assets as the Franchise involves from a single product focus to a portfolio.
This role requires an influential change leading leader who is able to read through the market dynamics, engage with stakeholders, contribute to the building of winning strategies and optimal resource allocation and to see through to their application.

This role requires active engagement and alignment with Area Commercial Directors and affiliate Immunology BUDs and functional leadership in Global Marketing, HEOR, Market Access, MABI and Finance

Key responsibilities include:

Commercial Approach

  • Based on product positioning help define optimal Immunology commercial approach
  • Resource optimization - Recommendations for Affiliate level IFT structure and sizing
  • Consolidate TA needs into Immunology Archetypes
  • Archetype countries and work with areas to monitor execution
  • Monitor environment for best practices; Monitors progress of execution and anticipates derailleurs for core countries
  • Work with strategic consultants such as McKinsey, IMS-IQVI

Launch Readiness - Strategy PressureTesting

  • Develop methodology/framework to pressure test new asset launch strategy in top affiliates including resourcing implications in appropriate pre-launch time frame in collaboration with responsible GBT. (i.e. Atopic dermatitis assessment Q4 '19).

Scenario Planning

  • Providing frameworks for complex decision-making
  • Application of insights into TA dynamics and help define scenarios
  • Tests scenarios at aggregate level- coordinates iteration to optimize trade offs between products and/or indications within products

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in business or bio-sciences
  • 5-10 years' experience in pharma, Leadership Team roles, and Marketing and Sales Management
  • Business Unit Management Experience (preferably in Immunology)
  • Strong Scientific background and ability to anticipate tends and changes in the market and react with a well-structured strategic plan
  • Networking skills and effective communication that builds effective working relationships with a broad range of internal cross-functional stakeholders
  • Good communication skills and the ability to inspire teams utilizing effective written and oral communication
