The Lilly Global Patient Outcomes & Real World Evidence (GPORWE) team provides real world scientific expertise to deliver improved patient outcomes that are valued by patients, payers and providers. Our team develops and ensures that appropriate health outcomes research strategies are in place to support Pricing, Reimbursement and Access activities for Lilly Oncology products. We work together to effectively communicate health outcomes findings and concepts to our internal and external business partners and the broader scientific community. Projects focus on Oncology disease states and tumor treatments that Lilly is developing and span the entire lifecycle of development and commercialization. Your specific role will focus on treatments in clinical development and supporting projects that focus on population epidemiology, costs of therapy, clinical trial design and key healthcare policy issues that impact patient outcomes.

In addition, you will focus on making life better for people with cancer and optimizing patient outcomes while working on a truly innovative and expanding cancer therapy portfolio. Specific areas of focus are as follows.
  • Influencing the internal and external environment and studying environmental factors that shape and impact cancer treatments and patient health outcomes.
  • Formulate oncology health outcomes strategy for multiple projects and geographies.
  • Performing research including but not limited to cutting edge real world data (RWD) analyses, economic modeling, clinical trials, PRO instrument development, observational/epidemiologic research, and obtaining health technology assessment feedback from global health authorities.
  • Effectively communicate the impact of oncology health outcomes information to business partners, the scientific community, and customers.

Int this role, you will be able to link technical expertise with business knowledge to drive, influence, and impact cross-functional initiatives impacting both scientific and commercial objectives.

Basic Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline, such as epidemiology, public health, pharmacy, economics, education, psychology, statistics, etc.; or Master's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience.

Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Knowledge of the US healthcare system
  • Experience in health technology assessment work, value demonstration
  • Experience in oncology
  • Knowledge of US real world data sources
  • Knowledge of drug development
