The objective of the Manager, HCV Sales Forecasting is to provide financial support to franchise leadership and senior management for making strategic decisions which impact this key therapeutic area. The primary areas of focus are to provide sales forecasting and financial modeling to enhance resource allocation, assess impact of business development opportunities, assess impact of wholesaler buying patterns, determine material resource requirements for production and establish quotas for incentive planning.

The Manager, HCV Sales Forecasting is responsible for coordinating, developing and executing sales forecast/financial modeling which supports operational and strategic execution for the VP Specialty, General Manager HCV, Controller HCV and Sales Forecasting Director. The position must have a strong knowledge of the business environment through communication with various stakeholders.

The forecasting function requires a strong working knowledge of a number of other technical areas including financial modeling, primary market research and secondary syndicated data sources.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead the creation, documentation and presentation of HCV sales forecasts for LRP, Plan, Update and LBE's and identify related performance gaps. Presentation audiences to include senior management, Specialty VP, VP US Controller and GM HCV.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of business conditions and marketing strategy through interactions with VP Specialty, GM HCV, and multiple other cross functional areas including Managed Care Marketing, Pricing, Commercial Finance and MA&BI
  • Deliver strong communication with upper management on forecast issues, process and rationale
  • Provide ad hoc analysis on many technical performance-related issues and communicate resolution in clear, concise manner

  • Bachelor's Degree: Finance or Accounting
  • 8-10 years overall business experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Ability to utilize multiple data sets (prescriptions, epidemiology, patient flow, etc.) in order to create and explain forecasts
  • Ability to utilize statistical and other modeling techniques to create predictive analyses
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare environment and pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and develop clear conclusions and recommendations regarding business opportunities and challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to network/partner effectively across functional areas and with varying levels of management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to build, motivate and influence teams
  • Proven ability to design and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic environment within given timelines
  • Excellent problem solving skills, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical sales and marketing organizations a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, motivate, and retain a high performing team

  • Master's Degree: MBA, CPA preferred
  • Prior pharmaceutical forecasting or commensurate experience/expertise is desired
  • Experience in a manufacturing, pricing or distribution environment beneficial
