Overview

The Sr. / Director of Trade Managed Care will provide a central leadership role in all trade/ pharmacy channel activities and other relevant managed care channels. Together with senior management, s/he will provide leadership in the development and execution of the managed market and trade strategies. S/he will analyze what is required to effectively penetrate all channels of trade and managed customer segments and provide the direction for appropriate tactics and materials. Responsibilities include making recommendations for pricing and rebates for managed care segments. The position reports to the Vice President of Managed Markets.

  • Assisting in the creation of strategies within all aspects of trade and other managed care customer segments.
  • Identify and track key performance metrics for Trade/ Pharmacy Channel and other managed markets assigned
  • Together with Sales and Marketing, assist with launch strategies and tactics for trade/ pharmacy and other managed markets channels.
  • Work with marketing to create necessary trade materials, marketing promotion, and trade presentations
  • Together with the training manager, develop the initial and ongoing training of Account Executives.
  • Support (with Marketing), design, and/or lead advisory boards and KOL development with managed market and trade segments.
  • Ascertain Assertio's involvement and role with trade and managed care meetings
  • Monitor performance of each managed segment and make appropriate adjustments
  • Implement stocking strategy and tactics for trade segments for launch.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within trade/ pharmacy channels and other managed care segments.
  • Monitor DOH/ other data and make appropriate adjustments.

Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's Degree/MBA preferred
  • A of minimum of ten years of experience in sales, trade and managed care management
  • Success in launching products with trade and managed markets
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Must be a strong leader, with the ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Team player, focused on solving problems and achieving goals
