Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Associate to join the Oncology & Angiogenesis group. The successful candidate will contribute to the screening and development of antibodies with the potential of being the next successful cancer therapy. Job responsibilities will include designing and carrying out in vivo mouse experiments utilizing both syngeneic and xenogeneic tumor models. The applicant must also be able to execute a variety of cell-based assays to understand mechanisms of action. The candidate is expected to work independently in a creative, collaborative, and dynamic team environment, with strong support for skill and career development. Strong technical, analytical and time-management skills, and attention to details are required for this position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Independently execute in vivo experiments to facilitate the development of therapeutic antibodies.

-Perform in vitro cell based bioassays and in vivo studies to understand mechanisms of action.

-Maintain and culture tumor cell lines and genetically engineered cell lines. Generate stable cell lines as necessary.

-Basic molecular biology tasks including PCR, cloning etc.

-Analyze biological data using software including Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo etc.

-Present data at internal meetings.

-Write study reports and maintain accurate electronic records.

This position requires a Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in industry to join a highly interactive oncology team.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Hands-on experience with in vivo experiments utilizing tumor models (syngeneic and xenogeneic) in mice is required. Expertise with animal handling, different methods of compound administration (IP, IV, sub-Q, etc), tumor growth measurement, and tissue/blood collection is essential.

- Expertise in tissue culture is required, including culture of tumor cell lines and genetically engineered cell lines. Experience in generating stable cell lines with retro- or lenti- viral vector.

- Experience with cell based assay development, ELISA or MSD.

-Familiar with basic molecular cloning techniques, flow-cytometers (e.g. Fortessa) or IHC is a plus.

-Prior experience in signal transduction, oncology or immune oncology is highly desired.

-Proficient computer skills and experience in collecting and analyzing biological data is a necessity. Experience with basic scientific analysis software including Microsoft Office Excel, GraphPad Prism etc. is required.

-Write study reports, produce and maintain accurate electronic records.
