Known for its scientific and operational excellence, Regeneron is a leading science-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, invents, develops, manufactures, and commercializes medicines for the treatment of serious medical conditions. Regeneron commercializes medicines for eye diseases, high LDL-cholesterol, atopic dermatitis and a rare inflammatory condition and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, pain, cancer and infectious diseases.

Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated PhD scientist to join our Therapeutic Antibody Immunoscreening team. The successful candidate will directly contribute to the identification of potential therapeutic antibodies and selection process of the lead molecules in early discovery stage.

This scientist will design and develop protein and cell-based immunoassays with high throughput capacity; design and execute target-specific primary screening plans; compile multifaceted screening data and report findings to a cross-functional team.

The qualified candidate should have a strong background in biological sciences preferably biochemistry or immunology with hands-on experience in immune assay development. Critical thinking and ability to maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced, deadline driven project-oriented team environment is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as this candidate will be expected to work productively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities
- Design, optimize immunoassays to assess antibody therapeutics functional properties.
- Design and execute cell-binding assays to categorize the diversity of the antibodies in the collection.
- Optimize assays for in-vitro quantitative characterization of the lead antibodies.
- Design target-specific antibody screening plans and organize and carry out high throughput screenings according to these plans.
- Summarize results experiments across multiple functional groups and inform the project team timely and present the results in inter-department working meetings.
- Work successfully in cross-functional teams either as a team member or as independent individual.
- This Scientist position comes with the potential to manage Research Associates.

Requirements
This position requires a PhD, and a minimum of two years of post-graduate degree with extensive knowledge of immunology and hands-on bench research/development experience. Additional requirements include:

- Strong background in in-vitro protein characterization, such as ligand/receptor binding characterization and quantitative potency determination, protein structure-function relationship in the field of biochemistry or immunology.
- Skilled in aseptic techniques and human and mouse cell culturing.
- Experience with immunoassay and cell-based assay development (ELISA, FACS, electro-chemiluminescent-based technology).
- High throughput screening experience and familiarity with liquid handlers are beneficial.
- Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and graphical analysis software required.
- Must be able to multitask and perform rigorous data analysis under time pressure.
- Ideal candidate should have experience working as an independent researcher as well as a collaborative team member and communicate effectively within a large team.
