The Pharmacology group at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Redwood City, CA is seeking a highly motivated, interactive, and productive scientist to collaborate with external partners managing studies at CRO's, external sites and academic institutions. The position requires the individual to be highly collaborative, working closely with and supporting an array of project teams and researchers within the Discovery Research organization. Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with Discovery investigators, design and plan in vivo studies to interrogate novel therapeutics for treating cancer

• Understand scientific principles and apply them to in vivo study designs

• Source in vivo study capabilities at external sites

• Manage a wide breadth of in vivo mouse models

• Provide critical analysis of in vivo study data

• Collaborate with the IACUC, Veterinarian and other BMS groups to ensure compliance with BMS animal welfare standards at external partners

• Communication of work, plans and progress using written and verbal communication in small and group settings

Qualifications

• BS degree with 6+ years experience, Master's degree with 3+ years experience or PhD

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with IACUC, Veterinarian and Discovery researchers

• Extensive knowledge of pharmacology, oncology and immunology applied to in vivo mouse models

• Previous experience with oncology and immuno-oncology discovery research

• Previous experience managing external relationships

• Demonstrated ability to integrate knowledge from literature

• Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver multiple projects at the same time

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
