Project Description: Currently, Regeneron has a limited understanding of the variables and characteristics associated with elastomeric components of Primary Containers. The purpose of this project is to develop a full understanding of elastomers as individual components and how their properties interact with syringe and/or cartridge components. The project will also serve to investigate potential process inputs that could impact product quality downstream. The proposed project shall involve several methods of material characterization for different elastomer formulations. The analysis shall pertain to material properties, functional performance, surface analysis and temperature conditioning. Intern may also support other evaluations and studies of Drug Product and Primary Containers.
Desired Majors and/or Skills:
- Majors: Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biology, Physics.

- Materials experience (specifically rubber/polymers), lab experience, active problem solving.

Desired Education Level:
- Rising Soph. or Rising Jr. or Rising Sr..
