The Immuno-oncology Discovery of Bristol Myers Squibb in Redwood City, CA, is seeking a highly motivated research associate or scientist to join a group of researchers for identification of novel therapeutics in cancer immunotherapy. Following Yervoy (ipilimumab) and Opdivo (Nivolumab) discovered by Bristol-Myers Squibb scientists, we are discovering the next generation of antibody therapeutics to train the immune system to combat cancers. The candidate will characterize immuno-modulatory antibodies, explore mechanism of action and combinatorial therapeutic strategies. The candidate will likewise contribute to design and analysis of in vivo efficacy studies in mouse tumor models.

Job description:

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Designing or executing experiments using human primary immune cells
  • Developing novel assays to characterize activity of antibody therapeutics
  • Immune profiling of cultured immune cells, lymph tissues and tumor infiltrating leukocytes using multi-color FACS
  • Analyzing and presenting scientific results to team meetings
  • Working in a collaborative team environment


Desired skills and experience

  • B.S or M.S or PhD in immunology or biology (title based on qualification and experience)
  • Experience in primary immune culture and isolation of immune cells would be a plus
  • Experience in multi-color FACS analysis would be highly desired
  • Proficient in basic data analysis tools, such as MS-Excel and GraphPad Prism
