Research Associate, Biology

Job Description:

Kezar Life Sciences (NASDAQ: KZR), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, is looking for a skilled Research Associate for our Biology group with experience in cell culture and cell-based assays.  We are focused on small molecule therapeutics to target autoimmune/inflammatory disorders and oncology based on the biology of protein homeostasis.  Our lead compound, KZR-616 (a selective inhibitor of the immunoproteasome), is in clinical trials, and we have multiple drug discovery programs targeting protein secretion.  This is an exciting time and opportunity to significantly contribute to the research and development of novel therapies for serious diseases.

This position will be responsible for conducting and analyzing in vitro biochemical or cell-based screening assays to support structure-activity relationship campaigns for lead generation.  In addition, this position will be responsible for performing high-quality cell culture and providing sample preparation assistance for proteomics studies key to our investigations of compound mechanism of action and target profiling.  Meticulous understanding and execution of developed protocols will be key, as well as enthusiasm for improving processes and interactions within cross-disciplinary teams.  Flexibility to work simultaneously on multiple projects under rigorous timelines and changing priorities is also a must for success in this position.

If widespread involvement and impact in a young, dynamic company and gaining distinctive experience in drug discovery and development sound appealing to you, please send your resume and cover letter to:
