The Product Manager, Promotions will be responsible for developing and executing HCP and Patient product marketing efforts, under the direction and leadership of senior marketing management, to achieve Rigel commercial goals. This position will work closely with field sales, vendors and cross functional team members to develop and execute results-oriented, highly effective marketing initiatives to support the launch and promotion of Rigel products. 


  • Works cross-functionally with commercial team members (marketing, sales, analytics, market access, medical affairs, etc.) to develop and execute HCP and Patient projects and materials that support achievement of Rigel Commercial goals
  • Develops and manages key elements of the product tactical plan to the HCP and patient audience, including: optimization of personal and non-personal promotion execution, field teams’ Plan of Action, product messaging and materials development
  • Ensures promotional tactics align with the overall brand strategy through engaging and collaborating with cross-functional partners such as Training, Medical Marketing, Sales Analytics, Market Access, Medical Affairs and agencies
  • Collaborate with ad agency and other vendors in development of materials and tactics to support brand strategy.  May be lead with agency for some projects
  • Ensure consistency of brand messaging across channels and tactics
  • Partner with the Promotional Review Committee (Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Compliance) to ensure marketing materials are approved for promotional use
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators for projects, regularly tracking and measuring the success of initiatives and tactics.
  • Manages all aspects of projects to ensure delivery within defined expectations: time, budget, quality. Provides timely updates to manger. Informs if projects are not meeting designates timelines or objectives
  • Provides input to development and implementation of annual product marketing tactical plan
  • Ensures that all marketing activities follow regulatory and legal requirements




  • Ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years US in-line bio/pharmaceutical marketing experience (HCP and/or consumer) including experience working on projects that involved developing promotional materials.  Hematology and/or Oncology experience preferred
  • 2+ years of successful experience in pharmaceutical sales (preferred)
  • Project management skills including analytical assessment, timeline and budget management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, plan execution, and performance management
  • Aptitude for creative thinking, problem solving, effectively managing multiple projects and ability work independently (when appropriate)
  • Ability to adapt and thrive within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures, and disciplines
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and expertise as a leader with well-developed influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong presence with ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making
  • Bachelor’s degree required (marketing or related fields preferred)
