The Senior Director of Commercial Development will work cross functionally within the organization to build and implement field development plans, programs and courses for first line and second line field leaders. Overseeing aspects of field career development relative to existing programs and rotations plus the potential addition of new rotations will be necessary. Creation of certain home office curriculums for the commercial organization will also be contained in this role.

1) Works with the commercial leadership team to support and implement development plans for medical specialists, market access/field access, sales managers, directors and other field employees within the Commercial Organization.
2) Identifies non-product related training/technical development needs for field based and commercial personnel, (such as questioning skills, consultative selling, DISC or Emotional Intelligence). Develops and implements plans to meet those needs.
3) Works in collaboration with field directors and field managers to identify development needs and manages resources required to meet those needs. This includes rotations and mentorship opportunities.
4) Responds to requests from field directors to work with individual managers or sales representatives on desired development needs. Coordinates leadership readiness activities for the field teams.
5) In conjunction with Executive Director, Training and Development, Marketing and Sales Directors, develops curriculums for new manager training. Provides individual coaching for new managers and candidates in the leadership readiness cohorts.
7) Partners and acts as a resource/bridge to corporate Learning and Development-brings commercial/sales perspective to their initiatives
8) Coordinates with Commercial IT on iCoach (FCR portal). Ensures that IC Team is providing updated performance data reports to iCoach.
9) Manages field development programs within Commercial and partners with Corporate Compensation on ASPIRE program. Works with Associate Director, Print and Digital Resources, to coordinate SharePoint site for tracking ASPIRE points. Ensures that Points Report is provided to iCoach vendor on a monthly basis.
10) Spearheads creation of development workshops at POA's and throughout the year.

• Bachelor's Degree

• 15-20 years Sales Representative, Sales Manager, Regional Sales Director, Training and Learning and Development experience

• Familiar with sales skills and business planning

• Strong interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple departments is required.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, strong organizational planning and project management skills are necessary, high results orientation required

• Demonstrates Regeneron's Core Success Factors including but not limited to passion for the work, behaving ethically and
professionally, professional excellence and teamwork.
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry experience required.


• Master's Degree preferred

• Certification in development programs such as
- DiSC Personality Assessment
- Emotional Intelligence (EQi)
- Coach training or coaching certification is desirable
