Senior Manager / Associate Director, Supply Planning - Global Supply Chain

We seek an entrepreneurial and highly motivated and driven supply chain leader with broad clinical / commercial planning expertise to help build and grow our supply and material planning functions. This role will lead and manage network supply planning, capacity management and inventory management activities across the bluebird supply chain. In addition, this role will lead and support the overall development of our raw material supply and sourcing strategies for bluebird's internal and external supply network. This position works closely with our Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Management, and External Vendors and Partners to develop plans and strategies to ensure an uninterrupted supply of product to patients.

About the role:
  • Develop and maintain supply chain strategies that support product lifecycle management and consider regulatory and CMC requirements for supply network transitions
  • Establish, own, and manage long range capacity plans and strategies for the manufacturing network
  • Partner with Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, Supplier Management, and External Suppliers to analyze our material supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate supply risks for critical raw materials
  • Proactively identify and analyze material supply challenges and opportunities and lead projects to drive improvements
  • Establish and maintain inventory management policies and strategies across the network
  • Objectively evaluate supply scenarios, options, and tradeoffs and develop executive management-level analysis and recommendations to present to senior leadership
  • Participate and support the development and execution of Sales & Operations Planning processes and deliverables
  • Support the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators to analyze and monitor supply performance
  • Lead and manage projects to implement process improvements
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)
  • 12 or more years in a related supply chain/planning/manufacturing role (experience planning supply for life science companies, (Cell and Gene Therapy / Biologics preferred).
  • Experience developing and managing product lifecycles and network supply planning in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in leading and developing supply planning processes and organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability collaboratively influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Driven and motivated to lead and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly growing company environment with minimal direction
  • Expertise in use of MS Excel, as well as demonstrated proficiencies in Project, Visio, Power BI, ERP (Oracle) and other applications
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification preferred
