Summary:

The VelocImmune NEXT group is looking for a Research Associate. The successful candidate will be involved in identifying and developing antibodies against clinical autoimmune disease targets as well as creating novel state of the art mouse models to validate these immunotherapies. The qualified individual will have a background working with mice, especially with injections via multiple routes and harvesting immune organs. As VelocImmune-NEXT immune technology group is responsible for developing the essential mouse platforms to test human therapeutics for all research groups, your responsibilities will include collaborating with researchers across Regeneron to drive projects forward.

Duties:

You will work with murine immunological models to help develop new biologics against autoimmune diseases. Your job requirement will include:

-Administration of therapeutics, collection of fluids and tissues from mice.
-Analysis of immune cells and responses via flow cytometry (multiparameter FACS), ELISA and ELISPOTs
-Additional experience in tissue culture with primary mammalian cells as well as B and T cell lines is highly desirable.
-Some experience with molecular biology such as PCR, basic cloning, and mammalian cell transfections are preferred.
-Basic computer literacy and experience in collecting, analyzing, and presenting biological data using programs such as the MS Office suite is also a necessity.

Requirements:

This position requires a minimum of a BS degree (MS preferred) and 2-3 years of experience working with mouse immunology in vivo and ex vivo immunological assays such as ELISAs and ELISPOTs as well as culturing immune cells in vitro.

Experience working with multiparameter flow cytometry using BD LSR-II, BD Fortessa or equivalent is highly desired.

2-3 years of experience working with mice is a must.
