Job Description:

Position Summary

The Manager, Patient Services will support the Patient Services group including; reimbursement hotline, patient assistance program and co-pay assistance program. This position collaborates cross functionally with brand teams to drive strategies as they pertain to reimbursement/patient services and is an active participant in the strategic market access direction. Additionally, this position will be responsible for some of the groups data analytics.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Member of patient services team assigned to design, implement and evaluate the Ipsen Service Model (reimbursement hotline, patient assistance program and co-pay assistance program)
  • Assist with ongoing operations of the service model executed through our reimbursement partner
  • Create reports to deliver to brand teams at regular intervals
  • Perform analytics on multiple data sources including: HUB data, formulary data, prior authorization, Specialty Pharmacy, etc.
  • Partner with brand teams to drive patient service offerings through patient advocacy organizations
  • Monitor legal and policy issues that could impact program design
  • Track funding needs and utilization for patient access programs (e.g. PAP and copayment support)
  • Help support the Reimbursement and Account Management teams
  • Train sales team on Ipsen's Reimbursement Program
  • Vendor management may include
  • Trouble shoot issues and recommend areas of improvements
  • Identification of program efficiencies and enhancements
  • Regular site visits to maintain a close relationship with the vendor
  • Masure and interpret data and KPIs of vendors. Support on-going initiatives and offer insights to enhance program and increase operational effectiveness
  • Ensure vendor partners have a strong knowledge of brand visions and goals


  • Bachelor degree from accredited college or university. MBA Preferred

  • Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical industry or data analysis experience
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical reimbursement experience preferred
  • Experience working with vendors and getting results and reports from outsourcing partners
  • Experience working in Managed Markets groups or with industry data preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer policies, reimbursement process, health policy, areas of coverage, payment, coding, Specialty Pharmacy, and buy and bill
  • Experience in patient focused programs within associated HIPAA regulations and other legal parameters and patient privacy policies is recommended
