Position Summary
The NA Head of Integrated Business Insights manages projects at the interface between business analytics and the franchise/brand teams for Ipsen's North American commercial business (including oncology, endocrinology and neurology). Reporting directly to the Vice President of NA Business Operations, the person in this role is accountable for identifying, prioritizing, executing, and presenting the analyses and insights needed to make strategic decisions that drive brand performance and contribute to the overall success of the commercial business. The Head of Integrated Insights must have in-depth experience with a variety of measurement and research methods, strategic planning, project management, data evaluation, market research, and customer insight generation. In addition, the person in this role interacts directly with the heads of the business units, supports the brand planning process, and acts as a key internal consultant to assigned commercial teams for developing brand strategy. As a senior member of the commercial business, this role will partner with other commercial leaders in the organization to drive innovation and forward-thinking strategies centered on patients and customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Steer the internal allocation of analytic, IT, and operational resources to provide maximum value to North American Business through the generation of strategic insights
• Ensure integrated efforts through cross-functional brand teams that are aligned with the Global organization.
• Transform the Commercial Operations organization, with a focus on driving insights, performance and accuracy.
• Define and manage scope of work and budget for all franchise/brand insights and analytics needs and requirements
• Develop and maintain excellent internal cross-functional relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with corporate and functional goals
• Drive business need identification, qualification, and resolution while leveraging business analytics and other data-driven resources, for example: regular reporting, advanced analytics, primary and secondary market research, customer intelligence, competitive intelligence, ROI analytics and analysis of the impact of all marketing expenditures, and field force execution
• Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information
• Collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders to process and prioritize new insights and analytics requests, provide feedback on vendor performance, and review data quality assurance policies and procedures
• Collect the forecasting inputs, elaborate on forecasting assumptions, and facilitate the forecasting process in collaboration with the Business Analytics Forecasting team
• Participate as a key thought leader of the business planning team by challenging assumptions and identifying key risks and opportunities
• Recruit, retain, and develop team members of the highest caliber for integrated insights
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen U.S. staff

Qualifications Education
• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree in business administration or related field preferred Experience
• 15+ years of pharmaceuticals and life sciences experience preferred; 5+ years of oncology experience strongly preferred
• 12+ years of experience in analytics, forecasting, market research, and competitive intelligence preferred
• 10+ years of direct team leadership experience preferred, with the influence to manage a cross-functional team of individuals with diverse skill sets and backgrounds
• Thorough understanding of the commercial aspects of oncology, endocrinology and neurology, including brand management, sales planning and execution, market access, and regulatory environments • Ability to transition easily from technical research to practical business considerations

• Ability to anticipate internal and external business challenges and recommend process, product, or service improvements • High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes, and methodologies

• Clear understanding of the changing healthcare marketplace

• Ability to effectively perform all functions in adherence with legal, compliance, and regulatory guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry

• Ability to contribute to the development of functional strategy to assist business areas in defining their information strategy

• Significant experience in leading project teams to achieve milestones and objectives

• Advanced oral and written communication, interpersonal, public relations, facilitation, management, decision making, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to advise senior-level executives and coach teammates on applying listening, problem definition, problem solving, hypothesis generation, data analysis, insights generation, insight application, and presentation skills
