The Executive Director will be responsible for ensuring that the relationships between Regeneron and its strategic CRO partners and key vendors are effective, innovative, productive, successful and efficient. As a leader within the organization, the incumbent will be instrumental in the concept, design, growth and deliverables of clinical development operations as it relates to external partnerships to assure the highest quality delivery of Clinical Programs, on time and within budget.

Duties:

• Ensures that Regeneron support is received from Strategic Partners and key vendors and is industry leading in cost, speed, and quality.

• Orchestrates interactions between REGN functional stakeholders and vendors at systems and process level

• Lead and point of escalation for critical execution or quality issues related to contracted work

• Verifies acceptability of CRO process for determining resourcing and timeliness for execution of studies

• Accountable for Clinical Program management and operations of ad-hoc FSP arrangements for specialized purposes

• Develop Product and Productivity goals and work with functional lines and the strategic partner to deliver these goals. Oversee Operational Reviews and Executive Steering Committees.

• Review, evaluate and act upon the results of the dashboard metrics and health of vendor relationships

• In collaboration with strategic partners ensure project management and study management functions are carried out on all projects, including inspection readiness and proactive risk management

• Develop vendor long-range plans for continued industry leading processes and platforms to support clinical development

• Ensure appropriate sharing of best practices with vendors

• Identifies new business opportunities for collaboration with vendors

• Monitors the health /sustainability of the relationship; financially through analysis of economic drivers for partner; culturally through analysis of team dynamics, stakeholder satisfaction, and takes early pro-active actions to foster environment that will maintain optimal relationship

• Ensure appropriate CRO and vendor response to internal and external audits and inspections

Requirements:

Advanced degree in science or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience is required, prior research and/or clinical training is desired. Minimum of 10 years of experience and success in a clinical project/trial management role within another biotech/pharmaceutical company, which shall include at least 3 years of experience managing CRO and other ancillary vendors.
