TSTO is searching for a Technology Operations Lead to support the Digital Pathology group within the Translational Bioinformatics organization. This role will have significant interactions with stakeholders throughout Translational Medicine, especially members of the Translation Pathology group. The operations Lead will be responsible for ensuring efficient execution of image analysis projects supporting on-going clinical trials, as well as efforts focused on internal capabilities/strategy development. This role will include end-to-end oversight from project initiation through data delivery for both internal and external work. The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with a Growth Mindset. Excellent communication and problem solving skills are required, as well as experience working in a highly matrixed organization. Familiarity with immunohistochemistry and/or image analysis techniques preferred. A background in IT is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate internal resources and third party vendors for the flawless execution of projects in the Digital Pathology group's BOW.

• Establish and maintain operational capabilities that facilitate efficient workflows/processes.

• Foster strong relationships with third party vendors.

• Perform image management responsibilities including inventory tracking and transfer status oversight.

• Partner with clinical teams, vendor management, outsourcing management and global procurement to drive the BMS clinical biomarker strategy.

• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives through interaction of all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility of requests.

• Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

• Apply stakeholder management skills to facilitate successful relationships.

• Utilize risk management techniques to minimize project derailment, and create mechanisms for transparent communication to key stakeholders and team members. Escalate risks to management as needed.

• Engage in specialty projects to drive success of Translational Medicine biomarker activities.

• Interact with key scientific and operational leaders across therapeutic areas.

• Lead efforts to identify and triage critical issues and implement conflict resolution strategies to enable timely and relevant decisions.

Experiences Desired:

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 4+ years' experience in clinical drug development/scientific discipline, OR Master's degree and 2 +years' experience.

• Firsthand knowledge of scientific/laboratory operations preferred.

• Familiarity with immunohistochemistry and/or image analysis techniques preferred.

• Experience working with vendors/facilitating contracts desired but not necessary.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems/data from a variety of sources, and deliver superior business results through effective decision-making and planning.

• Experience managing multiple projects of significant complexity/global scope, in a highly virtualized team environment.

• Experience in leading organizational/cultural change and managing expectations/risks a plus.

Skills/Knowledge Desired:

• Highly effective organizational and time management skills required.

• Strong communication (written and oral), interpersonal and negotiating skills required.

• Experience and high degree of fluency with MS Office tools (esp. MS Excel and MS Project).

• Ability to influence in the matrix and across organizational/company boundaries.

• Flexibility to re-focus priorities and achieve results in a frequently changing environment.

• Ability to foster teamwork between BMS functional areas by creating an environment based on mutual trust and respect.

• Background in IT is desirable but not required.
