Summary
We are seeking a temporary research associate to join the Oncology and Angiogenesis group. This person will be part of a group studying stem cell signaling pathways in cancer, as well as in normal tissue homeostasis. They will also play a large role in new model and technology development. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in in vivo mouse disease models.

Responsibilities

• In vivo mouse handling, including: monitoring health and body weight of mice, experience with blood sampling techniques and post-mortem tissue collection.

• Experience with mouse tumor models and/or survival surgery is highly desirable (e.g., orthotopic or subcutaneous tumor or tissue cell implantation, drug administration, etc.)

• Experience with basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques (e.g., in vitro cell culture, preparation of cell/tissue lysates for RNA/protein analysis, western blotting, etc.)

• Analyze data and communicate results clearly and concisely

• Maintain accurate records and lab notebooks

• Daily lab maintenance (ordering supplies and reagents)
Requirements:
-This position requires a miinimum of a BS/MS degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- In vivo mouse handling experience required.
- Experience with in vivo tumor models and/or survival surgery is highly desirable.
- Experience with in vitro tissue culture and cell-based assays desired.
- Strong organization, documentation and communication skills.

This position will require the individual to pass a physical before beginning employment.
