Job Summary

This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources NA and will support and partner with the SVP, HR NA and HR leadership team to ensure the successful delivery North America HR objectives; via the effective definition of strategy; timely operational implementation by the HRLT and effective interactions and communication with key business leaders.

Specifically, the role will require partnership with core functions within Ipsen HR NA and the various Ipsen NA leadership.

As the organization transforms, it is imperative that business critical decisions are taken confidentially, and in a timely and appropriate manner. It will be the role of the CoS to enable and facilitate business processes and decisions to become best operational practice at Ipsen.

Essential Functions

  • Actively seek competitor and best practices in Human Resources and facilitate dialogues to bring best practice into Ipsen
  • Proactively identify pain points and areas that require improvement and bring stakeholders together to bring improvements to life
  • Help develop people/HR strategy framework including getting the buy in of the HRLT and put in plans to operationalize over multiple years
  • Lead D&I initiatives; looking at network groups and generate buy in from business leaders on best practices and forums
  • Work with Director, HR optimization and provide support on process improvement initiatives
  • Work with HRBPs and legal to develop a performance improvement philosophy and a structured way of handling performance management
  • Lead site HR communications
  • Work with Director, learning on training initiatives that span across North America campus including help in conducting workshops and focus groups
  • Monitor delivery and ensure consistency of Corporate dashboards and KPIs across functions
  • Build strong relationships with sponsors and other key stakeholders across the business who support and lead change efforts
  • Manage overall communication and change management calendar across the business to ensure appropriate timing and delivery of North America transformation efforts
  • Promote key initiatives and identify communication opportunities while partnering with support functions (HR, communications, etc.) to support these efforts.
  • Build comprehensive understanding of all core business functions of Ipsen's organization and apply that knowledge to effectively manage strategic and tactical initiatives according to our vision
  • Lead organization of HRLT meetings to ensure effective use of time, promote quality of decision making, focus on critical topics, and follow-up to actions noted
  • Directly prepare SVP for upcoming management meetings, internal (e.g. Town Hall, etc.)
  • Ensure timely delivery of minutes and monitor action plans
  • Define key messages to be cascaded across the organization as appropriate
  • Liaise with NA and Corporate communications teams for internal and external communications regarding North America organization
  • Various projects and initiatives as needed

Education, Experience & Training Required

• Bachelor's degree and post-graduate degree is required in HR or related, advanced degree preferred

• Minimum of 5-10 year's experience in various HR and leadership roles, especially in matrix environments and global environments

• Experience in growing, mid-size pharma environments

• Good planning, analytical, time management and organizational skills

• Excellent leading, influencing & communication skills

• Self-motivated and comfortable working alone or as part of a larger team

• Experience working on and leading Global teams; Global/International experience required

Essential Functions - Physical Position Requirements: Machines and/or Equipment Used

  • PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Regularly required to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.)
  • Ability to work on a computer up to 7 hours a day.
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.
  • Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Close vision required for computer usage

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Work entails typical physical demands involved in office work
  • Ability to travel 25%
