Position Summary

Summary
GXP characterization and stability testing of monoclonal antibody reference standards. Requires familiarity with biopharmaceutical laboratory analysis using quality (GXP) controls. Experience writing SOPs, CoAs, reports and recording information in a GXP controlled environment. The ability to work independently and within a team environment and possess clear communication skills.

Responsibilities
Knowledge of a variety of large protein analysis technical platforms, including capillary electrophoresis, SEC HPLC with MALLS and RI/UV detectors, fluorescence spectroscopy, CD, and general lab techniques (pH, analytical balance, sample preparation). Familiarity with the use of ELN and EMPOWER is a plus. Schedule and execute testing, analyze data and report results; troubleshoot problems. Communicate with all levels in the organization.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree
  • 3-4 years industry experience
  • Knowledge of a variety of large protein analysis technical platforms, including capillary electrophoresis, SEC HPLC with MALS and RI/UV detectors, fluorescence spectroscopy, CD, and general lab techniques (pH, analytical balance, sample preparation).
  • Strong foundation in basic scientific knowledge in analysis of monoclonal antibodies; understanding of their structure/function.
  • Ability to design and execute experiments, analyze and discuss results.
  • Familiarity with GXP requirements in assay execution, instrument maintenance and documentation; concept of method qualification and qualified instruments.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team, as required.
  • Ability to prepare and contribute to scientific presentations.
  • Experience and skill working with computer controlled instrumentation and documentation, and data analysis systems.
  • Contribute to lab and equipment maintenance, ensure appropriate supplies and observation of safety requirements.
