Manager/Sr. Manager/Director, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations
Harpoon Therapeutics is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company focused on the discovery and development of novel, proprietary T cell engaging biologic products for the treatment of cancer with a focus on solid tumor malignancies. Harpoon is seeking a dynamic Manager/Sr. Manager/Director, Corporate Communications & I.R. to work collaboratively with senior management and across the company to develop IR/PR initiatives that raise the company's visibility among the investment community and other target audiences. This individual is expected to take on a significant role in interfacing with the investment community while serving as a credible and timely source of information and primary point of contact to key investors and analysts.
-Working with senior leadership, develop and execute communications programs that position the company as an innovative leader in immuno-oncology, with clear and concise messaging
-Identify and manage external agencies, as required
-Develop and maintain materials that reflect key corporate messages, including press releases (financial, scientific, BD), quarterly conference call scripts, corporate presentations, annual report, website and social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc)
-Develop and maintain rolling calendar of IR/PR events; provide executive support for roadshows, investor conferences, earnings calls, industry panel events, investor meetings; handle meeting scheduling and other logistics
-Develop and maintain relationships with sell-side analysts and institutional investors, as well as key business and biopharmaceutical/health care media and influencers
-Manage investor target lists; identify and research new investor contacts
-Spearhead media relations program, including media outreach, conference participation, and ongoing media monitoring.
Skills and Qualifications Required
-Minimum BA/BS degree
-Minimum 5 years biotechnology or life sciences experience in investor relations, equity research/finance or corporate communications (in-house or agency)
-Excellent oral and written communications skills with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Demonstrated knowledge of financial markets, as well as scientific fundamentals
-Knowledge of SEC and FDA regulations and principles specific to communications for a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company
-Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, timeline-based environment
-Ability to demonstrate initiative and independence in carrying out multiple tasks, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and discretion
-Ability to travel [15-20%]
